LEARNING SEO

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 7:59 AM | | 0 comments »

“SEO Made Easy”. Most of us want our site or blog to rank high in the search results on Search Engines like Google or Yahoo for our chosen keywords. We want lot’s of relevant visitors to our site, and we can provide them great value, and ultimately, increase our blog monetization.

It’s all about relevance here… We want Google or Yahoo to “decide” what our web page is all about, accurately and relevantly (is that a valid word ;-) ), and return our site as results ON THE 1ST PAGE preferably to users that search the keywords and phrases relevant to our site!

So, let’s see how we can improve our SEO… and hopefully, I can make it easy for you. Let’s start:

Choose Your Keyword

When we are writing a post, choosing your keyword may look like a simple step, but choosing the right keywords would mean whether your post is on the 1st page in Google or in page 101 or worse appear in the most irrelevant pages. Let’s do it right… consider the questions:

How popular are the keywords or phrases?
In other words, how many times do people search for this keyword? Generally, if no one (or very few people) is searching for a keyword, it’s not as valuable. We should aim for keywords with a count of above 5000 for the past month. Don’t bother about keywords below 5000. You can go to http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion for your keywords.
How competitive are the words?
How many other sites are trying to rank for the same keywords. Generally, the more competition there is for a keyword, the harder it is going to be to rank for it. Let’s look for competition less than 5 million and going under 3 million is best due to less competition. Check the number of Google results for the keywords at the top left corner of Google. Results 1 - 10 of about 5,000,000 for means that there are 5 million competing websites with the searched keyword.

It’s best if you can find words that are popular with less competition. That’s why it pays to spend a lot of time in researching your keywords. You’ll be surprised at the untapped gems or niches that you may find.

On-Page Optimization

Now you have your keywords, how to optimize them on your blog post or web page?

1. Page or Post Title
This is most important as users look at it to know instantly what a page is about. The title is used in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). If you want a high click-thru rate, try putting together a page title that is CATCHY but at the same time relevant to your post.An example: “Atomic Blogging - The inside and out of atomic blogging.”
The main keyword is [atomic blogging]. Its a good title because the main keyword is repeated once as the first phrase, and once later in the sentence. Try doubling your keywords and get good results in Google.
2. Body Text
You want to keep paragraphs short (short paragraphs help hold the attention of readers). Use your keyword as much as you can… especially in the first 20 words of your post. However, don’t overuse your keyword as it may result in an Over Optimization Penalty (OOP).
3. First Sentence of the Body Text
Use your keyword somewhere in the first sentence of the body text. This reinforces to the search engine the fact that the keyword is important.
4. URL/ File Name
If your page is about “Atomic Blogging”, then you would name the page atomic-blogging.html. Always make sure to use a hyphen “-” and not an underscore “_” (most search engines have a hard time with underscores). Don’t even think about using a space.
5. Meta Tags (Meta Description and Meta Keywords)
Meta tags are located in the tags. They are invisible to users, and are used strictly by some search engines.
- Meta Description: A descriptive sentence that describes your page. Make sure to use your keyword.
- Meta Keywords: Include a list of keywords. The best way is to write your body text, and then select keywords from that text.

Experiment with the above. It’s not a exhaustive list of things that you can do to improve your SEO, but it’s essential.

HOW TO GET 1000 VISITORS/DAY

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 7:49 AM | | 3 comments »

Hey friends! Here are a few tips for promoting your pages and articles, helping your rank, and getting that extra traffic to your blog or website.

Ok… HOW TO GET 1000 VISITOR BLOG/WEBSITE/DAY??

1. Submit your blog posts to Bookmarking Services

Go sign-up for OnlyWire at http://onlywire.com

A lot of people already use this, but for those that do not know about OnlyWire, it lets you submit a page to over 20 bookmarking services at once (delicious, magnolia, etc.). You may have to spend about 30 minutes signing up for all the services but it’s worth. Just a note, some of the services are not accepting anymore registrations or are down. It doesn’t matter, just sign-up for those that works!

2. Use Pinging Services

When you are done creating your new website, you can go to Pingoat at http://pingoat.com. Pingoat is a service that pings or notifies a number of services that keep track of weblogs and publish them. By pinging, you let the services know that your blog has been updated and hence, they crawl and index your site, publishing your blog contents, thus increasing your blog’s popularity. Hey… if you write articles on EzineArticles or on Squidoo, you can used it as well.

Also check this out: FeedShark at http://feedshark.brainbliss.com

This service is like Pingoat, but has a few more services. Quite a number of overlap services compared to Pingoat but don’t worry, it will just cancel out any after your first submission.

3. Remember to Post to Social Bookmarking

As I have mentioned in the previous post, never underestimate this traffic source as it has the potential to bring huge traffic to your blog. Submit your blog post to Digg at http://www.digg.com and Reddit at http://www.reddit.com.

Also, submitting to Digg and Reddit can be great for your site to rank as well for your targeted keyword of your article or post. Remember to write your long tail phrase or keyword in the Title when submitting to Digg. I feel it does give my blogs and articles a nice little jump in rank.

Lastly, my personal favorite: StumbleUpon. Get the StumbleUpon Toolbar at http://www.stumbleupon.com

Because, I find that StumbleUpon has been the biggest traffic generator for me. It can bring in thousands of visitors. You can submit your blog to StumbleUpon (via the toolbar, favorite it and Like It) and get over 1,000 pageviews a day, just from StumbleUpon traffic!!

And, don’t quote me: If you have 4-5 friends who you can work with to submit your sites, and get all friends to hit the “I Like It” button in StumbleUpon, and you are almost guaranteed a couple hundred hits!!

So, get excited about getting that 10,000 visitors a day with these tips. Thanks for reading my post and being my loyal readers!

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 7:42 AM | | 3 comments »

Some of my blog readers ask me on do I manage to get 20,000 visitors in last month. I thought I can write an article here to show how you too can get 20,000 a month.
ok,,,HOW I GET 20000 VISITOR BLOG

1. Get Listed in Google As Soon As Possible.

This is the most basic requirement I would mention here. In fact, you should target to get listed within the first 30 minutes you post your content online. I managed to get listed within 10 minutes after 5 months of hard work. I suggest you work hard and populate your blog with many contents for the next 6 months.

2. Get Rank High in Search Engine, Probably On Top 10 Listings.

You should also look at getting rank high in search engine. Get rank high will get a lot more exposure to the potential visitors compare to other listing in 11 - 2,000. Trying to work in some linking exercise with other websites / blogs so that you can achieve higher ranking. I managed to rank high for certain keywords for my blog over the time.

3. Use Good Hosting Company

A good hosting company will definitely help in long run. You don't want your hosting company fail you suddenly in case you have so many visitors come to your blog. Bear in mind, to achieve 20,000 visitors traffic consistently every month, you will probably need 3 - 6 months to achieve it. Besides that, good hosting company will also response you faster when your blog has problem accessing. I would recommend you to use HostGator as it is a very reliable hosting company and I have been using it since 2006.

4. Use Wordpress Blog

wordpress There are so much easier to rank high on wordpress blog compare to other blog software. Most of the bloggers knew wordpress blog are better than others! In fact, most of the bloggers who use other platform are eventually move to wordpress platform. By the way, I don't use other platform to create my own blog except wordpress now except some of the old sites. If you need guidance to install your wordpress blog, you can check out my blog installation tutorial on how you too can install wordpress blog in just 5 minutes.

5. Use Google Sitemap Generator Plugin

You need to install Google Sitemap Generator Plugin for wordpress. This powerful not just going to help you create and update the sitemap automatically but also help you to inform (ping) search engine when you have new post published. The plugin is able to inform 3 major search engine (Google, Yahoo and MSN) at one go.

6. Use Share-this Plugin

This is a very good plugin that not use by many people. In fact, this work like "Tell-A-Friend" features in most of the old websites. This plugin will eventually enable the readers to send email to their friends as well as bookmark your contents in their social boomarking accounts. Download the share-this plugin here.

7. Use Social Bookmark Account to Bookmark Your Site

Social bookmark enable us to bookmark our favorite site online. In fact, the post / page that we bookmark will also create a link back to the blog. It is quite good and easy way to create back link without asking webmaster permission. All you need to do is create a few free social bookmark account. However, this is for a new blog that in the growing stage, I seldom bookmark my post / page nowadays as it is quite easy get rank and attract traffic from search engine.

8. Update Ping List

Wordpress blog has a feature that you can inform ping site automatically. Do the ping will encourage the search engine spiders come over. However, not all blog created equally as they probably has one ping site in the list. You need to update your blog with more ping site. You can download this updated ping list (there are 38 ping sites in total) and update to your blog.

9. Leave Comment at Other Blogs

You will surprise why I ask you to leave comment at other blogs? In fact, this is a good way to leverage with other high traffic blogs. Since they allow you to leave comments on their blogs, all you need to do it give a really good comments so that the bloggers can't afford to approve it. Don't follow like most of the lazy bloggers who are just trying to get a link back from my blog. What I do was I just modify or delete the comments.

10. Start Creating Sub-pages at Free Blog

Another untold secret online, you can create some sub-pages on other from blogs. Web2.0 sites at Blogspot.com, Wordpress.com, Squidoo and many other free sites out there able to help you to boost up your rank. Once you establish a back link from those sub-pages, you are indirectly boost up your traffic volume to your blogs.

Here is another a few more for you:

Bonus 1: Create Right and Quality Contents

Yes, create right and quality contents is as equally important as above 10 tips! Most of my blog visitors (i.e. 75%) are come from search engines. They come to my blog because of certain contents they are looking / searching from search engine. Remember this! People only interest to read about good contents that bring benefits to them. You don't want to read junk contents, do you?

Bonus 2: Blog About The Current Topic

One of the method I manage to pull off a lot of visitors from search engine is because I blog about the current topic. I read paper offline to find out ideas about the current hot topic. You can try to look at your local newspaper and see what are the popular topic and write a review content. I am sure you will be able to attract many visitors over night.

Bonus 3: Be Consistent On The Contents

A lot of people start a blog and talk about everything! It isn't a right method. You should select not more than 3 topics to write in your blog. The more topics don't mean the more traffic you bring in. Unless you are celebrity bloggers like Kenny Sia and LiewCF, otherwise you should try to stick to your topic well.

18. Publish Interviews with Top Bloggers in Your Niche

Interviews can be a great source of information for readers and they can also give you some valuable networking opportunities. Most bloggers are open to interviews, they just aren’t asked very often.

19. Answer Reader Questions in Posts

Some bloggers are very effective at helping their readers by dedicating posts to answering questions from readers. This can help you to come up with content ideas, improve your blog’s value to readers, and get readers actively participating.

20. Proofread Your Posts

We all make mistakes, but by proofreading your posts you can help to present a professional image to your readers. Be sure to spell check your posts before publishing and try to find and fix any grammatical errors.

21. Use the Timestamp Feature When You Will Be Away

Publishing content while you are on vacation or away from the computer doesn’t need to be difficult. Most of the leading blogging platforms offer the option to timestamp the post for a future date and time. When that time comes the post will be published just as if you had done so manually.

22. Use a Blog Editor

Many bloggers use word processors to write their posts because sometimes the standard system from a blogging platform isn’t ideal. However, word processors can cause problems because they insert a lot of unnecessary code that will hurt the performance of your blog. Blog Editors offer the best of both worlds. My editor of choice is Blog Desk .
Functionality

23. Install the Top Commentators Plugin

One way to reward readers that participate and encourage others to get involved is to install the Top Commentators Plugin (for WP). This will put a list in your sidebar with the names and links to those who have participated the most.

24. Change Up Your Sidebar

When was the last time you made some modifications to your sidebar? Chances are your regular readers have kind of gotten used to what’s there and they probably tune it out. From time-to-time it can be beneficial to change things up a bit and add some new features or content to the sidebar.

25. Separate Trackbacks from Comments

Most blogs display trackbacks and pingbacks along with comments from readers. This can help to show that others find your content valuable, and a lot of trackbacks and pingbacks can be impressive to readers. On the other hand, they can also get in the way and interfere with conversations throughout the comments. With WordPress there is a relatively simple way to separate them. Michael from Pro Blog Design has a nice tutorial for doing this.

26. Improve Your About Page

Some of your readers will go to your About page to find out more about you. When was the last time you updated your About page? Take a look at it and see how effectively it is communicating to readers.

27. Add a Sitemap

Users can benefit from having a sitemap available, but often XML sitemaps are the only ones that are considered by bloggers. WordPress users can use the Sitemap Generator Plugin from Dagon Design to create a page that links to all other blog posts and pages.

28. Get Rid of Unproductive Widgets

How many widgets and buttons do you have on your blog? How many of them actually produce any type of results, and how many of them are ignored by readers? If you have unnecessary widgets that aren’t doing any good, get rid of them and free up some space while you improve your page load speed.

29. Add a Forum

Some blogs have added to the community aspect of the blog by adding forums. If you have a tightly-focused community that will be interested in communicating with other readers, consider adding a forum. vBulletin is one of the most popular ways to quickly put a forum on your site.

30. Get a Domain Name

If your blog is hosted on Blogspot or anywhere other than a domain that you own, purchase one today. Having your own domain is essential for building and branding a successful blog. I purchase domain names at GoDaddy.com .

31. Get Better Hosting

How does your hosting plan stack up? Many blogs could benefit from a better hosting company. When your blog goes down you’ll realize that paying a little bit more for quality hosting is a good decision. This is especially important if you plan to market your blog with social media.

32. Install Threaded Comments Plugin

One of the best ways to improve the level of communication with readers is to install a threaded comments plugin. WordPress users have a few options, including the most popular, Brian’s Threaded Comments. If you are not familiar with threaded comments, they allow you (and other readers for that matter) to reply directly to a specific comment. Your reply will then be displayed right below the original comment instead of all the way down at the end of the comments. It makes it easier and more effective for you to answer questions and respond to comments. You can see it in action here at PureBlogging.

33. Add Subscribe to Comments Option

In my opinion there is no reason not to allow readers the option of subscribing to comments. Once they leave a response to one of your posts that should have the ability to get any additional comments emailed to them. This is another way to boost the effectiveness of your communication with readers. WordPress users can install the Subscribe to Comments Plugin .

34. Backup Regularly

If blog security isn’t a priority for you, it will quickly become one when you have a problem. There are a number of different ways to backup a blog. My personal choice is to use WordPress’s export feature which creates an XML file that you can save. Then if you ever need it, all you have to do is import it into WordPress and the problem is solved.

35. Delete Spam Comments

Spam comments can be distracting to readers that are really trying to get involved in the conversation, and they can give your blog a negative image. You can either choose to moderate comments before they appear or just go back and delete spam comments as they come in. Of course, plugins like Akismet make this much more manageable.

36. Have a Comment Policy

If comment spam is a problem on your blog, you may want to post an official comment policy that clearly states what is encouraged, what is permitted, and what will not be tolerated. Most likely this statement won’t completely stop spam, but it can help those that aren’t sure what is appropriate and what is not.

37. Give a Disclosure if You Do Paid Reviews

Many blogs write paid reviews as a way to generate some income. This is fine with most readers, but it is helpful for them to know where you stand on paid reviews. Some bloggers effectively use a disclosure to let readers know that they do publish paid reviews, but they can assure readers that there opinions will not be biased because someone is paying them.

38. Remove NoFollow Tags on Comment Links

One way that you can reward those who comment on your blog is by removing the nofollow tags from links in the comments. By doing this you can give your commentors a real, legitimate link in exchange for their participation.

39. Use NoFollow Tags on Comment Links

On the other hand, removing nofollow tags isn’t a good move for everyone. A number of bloggers, including myself on my primary blog, have gone back to nofollow tags. If you are getting a lot of useless comments that seem to be submitted only for a link, you may want to consider going back to nofollow.

40. Delete Unused Plugins

Many bloggers keep a ton of plugins in their folder even though many of them are not being used. Plugins can sometimes cause problems with your blog, so it is best to get rid of any that you are not using.

41. Stay Up to Date with New Versions of Your Blogging Platform

Most blogging platforms, like WordPress, will release new and updated versions. For security and functionality purposes it is good to stay current. Many of the releases of WordPress address security issues from older versions, so if you are not upgrading you could be facing increased risk.

42. Restrict Access by IP Address

You can thwart would-be hackers by only allowing access to your admin folder for specific IP addresses. If you are the only blogger and you always use the same computer this can be pretty easy. Otherwise, you simply need to include the IP address of any user and any computer that needs access. Daniel wrote a nice post at Daily Blog Tips that gives instructions .

43. Reduce Database Calls

Page load speed can be a major issue for some blogs. Have you ever looked through the code of your blog to see how many times it is accessing your database? In most cases there are some simple changes that you can make to reduce unnecessary calls to the database. For example, your blog may display the title of the blog in the header. This is probably checking your database to see what the title is. You can get rid of this by removing that code and replacing it with the actual title of your blog. The same thing is true with a lot of footer links. Whenever you can get the same result without accessing the database you will be speeding up your pages.

44. Add a Contact Form

Some of your visitors will want to get in touch with you, and it may not be appropriate for them to leave a comment that is publicly visible. Give them an easy way to reach you by having a page specifically for this purpose.

45. Create a Custom 404 Error Page

When a visitor reaches a dead link on your blog or mistypes a URL what do they find? Hopefully an error page that actually gives them some information and helps them to find what they may be looking for. Most WordPress themes already have a generic 404 file, all you have to do is add some personalized content and links to help visitors find the pages that they are most likely to be looking for.

46. Fight Scrapers with a Footer Link

Fighting scrapers can turn into a part-time job. One of the best ways to ease the pain is to include a link back to your blog at the footer of your feed. This way you may be notified with a pingback, plus you will be showing readers that the content belongs to you. WordPress users can install the RSS Footer Plugin .

47. Delete Unused Themes

Much like plugins, most bloggers have several unused themes sitting in their content folder. If you are not using a theme and you have no plans to do so, why not delete it?

48. Reduce the Number of Plugins that You Use

I know I have repeatedly recommended plugins for different purposes, but the truth of the matter is that not all of these plugins are right for everyone, and no blogger should be using every plugin that has some sort of beneficial purpose. Excessive use of plugins can slow down your pages and make your blog more vulnerable. Plus, each time you upgrade to a new version you will have the chore of de-activating and re-activating all of the plugins. Only use plugins that provide something that really helps your blog and try to keep that number as small as possible.

49. Clean Up Your CSS File

Over time a CSS file can easily become a mess. Most likely there is a good bit of code in the file that isn’t even being used if you have made some customizations or changes to the site. I wrote a post 23 Resources for Clean and Compressed CSS that should help you with the process.

50. Fix Broken Links

Dead links can be a real frustration for visitors and they can prevent your content from being seen. Broken links are sometimes unavoidable, but you can always fix them and solve the problem. Dead-Links.com is a great free tool that will crawl through your pages and look for dead links.

51. Use a Google Custom Search Instead of the Default Blog Search

Most blogs have a search function, and that is certainly helpful for readers. However, the default searches from blogging platforms are not the best. Some bloggers use a Google Custom Search to more effectively address the issue.
Design and Appearance

52. Change Themes

When was the last time you changed your blog theme? If you use WordPress there are thousands of free themes that are available to use. Give your blog a fresh new look by finding a new and improved theme.

53. Buy a Premium Theme

If you are interested in upgrading your theme and you’re willing to spend $50 - $100 to do so, a premium theme may be a good choice. With premium themes you get a well-designed and highly functional theme, plus the support of the designer.

54. Pay for a Custom Design

Stepping up a notch from a premium theme, you could pay a designer to develop a customized theme just for your blog (or you could design one yourself). If you are serious about making money from your blog, this may be your best move.

55. Get a Logo Designed

Another way to enhance the look of your blog without going through a re-design or buying a new theme is to simply add or improve the logo. You can run a competition at a forum to have designers compete for your money, or if you are willing to pay more for a better product you could hire a professional logo designer.

56. Use Images in Posts

One easy way to improve the visual impact of your posts is to include images. You can use the advanced search at Flickr to find photos under the creative commons license, or you can pay a few dollars for an image at places like iStock Photo and Stock Xpert .

57. Change Your Color Scheme

Another way to give your blog a fresh look is to change up the color scheme. This can be a pretty simple process that only involves some changes to your CSS file. If you need some help finding the right color scheme, visit COLOURlovers or Color Schemer .
Marketing

58. Integrate Tools/Widgets for Social Media

Social Media Marketing is one of the best ways to get free exposure for your blog. You can encourage readers to vote for you and make it easy for them by adding some elements to your posts, such as buttons or widgets for specific social media sites.

59. Use Niche Social Media Sites

Most bloggers that attempt to gain traffic from social media focus on the major sites. like Digg. Getting to the front page of Digg is no easy task, and it really won’t produce traffic that is very targeted. Niche social media sites will send lower volumes of traffic, but popularity will be more attainable and the quality of traffic will be better. You can find social media sites in your niche at this categorized list of sites .

60. Build Profiles on Major Social Media Sites

For targeting the major social media sites, building a strong profile is one of the best ways to improve your results. To build a profile you should be actively using the site on a daily basis and always keep your eyes open for great content that you can submit.

61. Give Something Back to Your Readers

All blogs provide readers with content. What else can your do for them? By giving something back to your readers you can do a better job of building the community around your blog and developing a relationship and trust with your readers. There are a number of possibilities for giving back to your readers, and some that are mentioned at other places in this post. You could run a contest, give away some free advertising, give away an e-book, basically anything that will add value to your readers above and beyond the blog posts.

62. Feature Your Best Content Somewhere on the Blog

Some of your visitors will not be familiar with your blog and they may not have seen your best work. Somewhere on the blog you should have a list of links to your best or most popular posts. New visitors will hopefully take a look and see the quality.

63. Write for Other Blogs

One of the best ways to gain exposure and to build some name recognition is to write for other blogs. You can either do so as a guest blogger or as a paid writer. Usually if you are providing a free guest post you will get a brief bio statement and a link back to your blog. When you are doing paid writing you typically won’t get the bio or the link, but the exposure will still help.

64. Run a Contest

You can create some excitement from subscribers and generate some buzz by running a contest. Of course, people like to win things, so contests are a fun way to satisfy your readers. You can either put up some of your own money for prizes, or you can get others to sponsor the contest, which has been done very effectively be a number of bloggers.

65. Participate in Group Writing Projects

Group writing projects are a good way to get involved with other bloggers, get a link to your blog, and get exposure to a new audience. Check out Group Writing Projects to find some new opportunities.

66. Do Some Statistical Analysis

Do you know what types of posts draw the most traffic and the best response from your readers? Do you know where your traffic is coming from and what terms people are using to find you in the search engines? Use a tool like Google Analytics to do some basic stat checking on your blog and implement what you learn.

67. Submit Your Blog to Directories

Directories can be helpful for allowing new readers to find your blog, and they can also be good for search engine rankings. There are literally thousands of directories, blog directories, and RSS directories that you could submit to. Unfortunately, you’d have to spend days of your valuable time to get it done. You can submit it yourself to the top directories, or pay someone else to do it for you.

68. Set Up FeedBurner’s FeedFlare

I’m going to assume that you are already using FeedBurner since it is basically a necessity. FeedFlare is a simple way to add some nice elements to your feed that will allow subscribers to interact and share your content. There are a number of options to choose from, including links that will submit and vote for your posts at all the popular social media sites. To set up your FeedFlare, login and click on “Optimize” and then “FeedFlare.”

69. Release Your Own Blog Theme

Do you have an attractive blog theme that people really like? Have you considered releasing it for others to use freely? This has been done by a number of blogs, and sometimes it is done right after upgrading to a new theme. That way you can give something away without allowing everyone else to look just like you.

70. Use Entrecard

Entrecard is a unique way to make your sidebar more productive. With Entrecard you can network with other bloggers and with your readers, and drive traffic to your blog.

71. Submit Your Posts to Blog Carnivals

One of the easiest ways to start building links to your blog is by using blog carnivals. You can submit one of your posts to a carnival on a specific topic and if the host decides to include your post you will get a backlink. There are carnivals on just about every topic you can think of.

72. Host a Blog Carnival

Another method for driving traffic to your blog is to host a blog carnival. In this situation other bloggers will be submitting their posts to your carnival, and sometimes those who are included will also promote the carnival once it is published. If you’re looking for an easy way to get some other bloggers to visit your blog, consider hosting a carnival.

73. Submit Your Blog to Web Design and CSS Galleries

If your blog features a unique and attractive design (not a free theme), consider submitting it to web design and CSS galleries. There are more galleries than you can keep track (there’s a good list at Virtual Hosting). These galleries can give you a great deal of exposure and send some traffic and links your way.

74. Encourage Bookmarks

Bookmarks are a great way to increase your repeat traffic. If someone has bookmarked one of your posts they obviously have some intention of coming back to it later. Make it easy for your readers to bookmark by using the del.icio.us tagometer badge or something similar.

75. Give the Blog an SEO Check-Up

Most bloggers initially set up there blog to be search engine-friendly, however, over a period of time your blog may develop the need for an SEO checkup to keep the blog optimized. There are a number of free tools that can help you to check the SEO health of your blog. For a list of some of the best tools, see Giving Your Blog an SEO Check-Up .

bonus for U:

76. Improve the Structure of the Blog for SEO Purposes

Blogs can be very search engine-friendly, or they can be SEO nightmares. What have you done to prevent duplicate content, to create optimized page titles, to use better URLs, etc? By improving the structure of your blog you may be able to drastically increase your search engine traffic. WordPress users see WordPress SEO from Joost de Valk.

77. Use Custom URL Structure

Some blogs create URLs that are no help for search engines. WordPress users have the option to set up custom URLs that will be more search engine-friendly rather than using the number of the post.

78. Use Custom Slugs

WordPress users also have the option within each post to create a custom slug. How often do you use this feature? Try keeping your URLs shorter and full of keywords with this simple feature.

79. Give Each Post a Meta Description

The meta description may not have a big influence on search engine rankings, but it can significantly influence the click-through rate to your pages from the SERPs. The meta description is shown by most search engines to tell searchers what your page is about. Use the description to draw attention and increase the chances of a click.

80. Use Robots.txt to Block Duplicate Content

One of the most effective ways to control and prevent duplicate content is by using the robots.txt file. With robots.txt you can instruct search engines to ignore certain pages and types of pages (for example your archive or category pages) which means your posts are less likely to suffer from the penalties of duplicate content. WordPress users should see the article on Shoemoney about robots.txt .

81. Submit a Google Sitemap

The easiest way to get you pages indexed in Google is to submit an XML sitemap that lists all of your pages and posts. The Google Sitemaps Generator for WordPress is a great tool.

82. Don’t Add Posts to Multiple Categories

An easy way to prevent duplicate content is to limit your posts to one category. By adding it in multiple categories you will be adding it to more archive pages, which increases the chances of a duplicate content penalty.

Networking

83. Build a Network with Other Bloggers

Other than creating great content, networking is the best thing you can do with your time. Every successful blogger has a strong network of other bloggers. Everything is easier when you have a good network and you’ll make a lot of friends along the way.

84. Thanks Others for Links

When other bloggers link to you, take a moment to leave a comment and thank them for the link. They’ll appreciate the fact that you stopped by and they’ll be more likely to link to you again in the future. Everyone likes to be thanked.

85. Comment on Other Blogs

One of the basics of blog networking is commenting on other blogs in your niche. It’s a great way to start getting to know some other bloggers, plus you can help others, demonstrate your knowledge, and drive some traffic to your blog. Try to make some time each day for commenting.

86. Join Groups at MyBlogLog, BUMPzee, and Blog Catalog

Blog community sites are a great place to start networking. You can join groups and communities and get to know some other users.

Making Money

87. Find More Relevant Advertisers

Advertisements will be more effective for the blogger, the readers, and the advertisers if they are highly relevant to the content of the blog. Don’t just throw any advertisement on your blog. Make sure it is useful to readers and the ads will actually be helpful instead of annoying.

88. Use Affiliate Marketing for Appropriate Products

When monetizing your blog, don’t forget affiliate programs. By marketing products and services that are targeted to your audience you can make a nice amount of money. Plus, affiliate programs can help to fill voids when you haven’t sold all of your direct ad spots.

89. Provide an Advertising Page with Details

If you are selling advertising space, set up a page dedicated to providing information and details to potential advertisers. This will hopefully help to generate interest and it will also reduce the amount of questions you get. Don’t forget to let people know why they should advertise on your blog instead of the millions of other blogs out there.

90. Offer Premium Content

Some bloggers make money by selling access to premium content. That premium content could be articles, online tools, a member’s only forum, premium blog themes, etc. To make money this way you have to be able to offer something that others will be willing to pay for.

91. Use an Ad Management System

You can save yourself some time and increase your productivity with an ad server like OpenX or the OIO Publisher plugin for WordPress. These resources will make life easier for you and for your advertisers.

Subscribers:

92. Add an Email Subscription Option

If you are not offering an email subscription option in addition to RSS, you are losing subscribers. Some people just prefer to use email. FeedBurner makes it easy to offer email subscriptions.

93. Offer a Free Giveaway to Subscribers

Some bloggers successfully use a free giveaway to generate more subscribers. Chris Garrett uses a free e-book to draw in new subscribers, and plenty of other bloggers have used this method as well.

94. Make Your Subscription Links More Noticeable

In order to increase subscribers, make it as easy as possible for visitors to subscribe. This includes placing your subscription links and icons in highly-visible locations where they can’t be missed.

95. Publish a Full Feed

Subscribers prefer to receive a full RSS feed rather than a partial feed. Personally, I don’t see any reason to use a partial feed. More people will unsubscribe and it really won’t have a drastic effect on click-throughs.

96. Follow Up with Unconfirmed Email Subscribers

Regardless of how good your blog is, some people will sign up for the email subscription and then never click on the confirmation link from FeedBurner. When you login to FeedBurner you can see who has not yet confirmed. You can export all of your email subscribers (confirmed and unconfirmed) into an Excel file, then sort the file to get all of the unconfirmed subscribers together, cut and paste the address into an email, and send a brief message to remind them to subscribe.

97. Use Subscriber-Only Posts

With WordPress you can create a post that will go out to your subscribers but will not be displayed on your blog itself. I first read of this trick from Courtney Tuttle at this post. If you have a message that you want to go to just your subscribers, this might be a good thing to try.

98. Don’t Display the Subscriber Count Until it is High

In my opinion it is a mistake to show your subscriber count if it is low. It only shows visitors that you have not established an audience yet. A low subscriber count is normal for new blogs, but it’s not something that you want to proclaim to the world. The hard part is knowing when it should be displayed. I think between 100 - 200 is safe, but that’s a matter of opinion.

99. Subscribe to Your Own Feed

No, I’m not saying this to boost your feed count, but rather to see exactly how your feed is appearing to your subscribers. You wouldn’t publish a website without testing it, so why not see what you feed is doing? Personally, I subscribe to my feed in an RSS reader and at an email address. That way I can keep an eye on the appearance of the feed and detect and correct any issues.

Personal loan is a multipurpose loan; it can be used for a number of purposes including home renovation expenses, purchase of a car or bike, wedding expenses, education expenses, holiday or to payoff all the current debts to improve credit score.

Hiring The Best Lawyer

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 11:42 PM | | 0 comments »

When you need to obtain a lawyer
you want one who has an area of expertise in the field of which you need legal representation.

There are many different reasons why some one can be need of a lawyers service. That is why there are so many different lawyers to chose from. There are many areas of law in which a lawyer can specialize. You wouldn't hire a tax lawyer to represent you in a car accident case.

Depending on your legal situation you may or may not need a lawyer. Some small claims court cases are easily handled by your own representation. This is why most lawyers offer free consultation services. It is after the initial consultation a lawyer can decide whether it is worth it for you to obtain their services. If it is decided you are in need of their service they then will present the cost of retaining their services. Retainer fees are the first payment just to obtain their service. They will also be able to tell you how much your total cost will be.

Some lawyers work on what is called contingency. Contingency is what the lawyer will earn if your case is won. There is usually no up front costs for this. The way it works is your lawyer will take around 33% of the money awarded to you in your case. So if you had a case that was for an award amount of $1500.00 your lawyer will take about $500.00 or so.

Hiring the right lawyer can be the key to winning your case, especially if you have a strong case. Some things you would want to know about your lawyer are their credentials. You would want to know how many cases they have won, their amount of court room experience, have they settled a lot of cases out of court and are they licensed to represent you in your state. You should feel comfortable and confident with the lawyer you chose. You should feel that you trust your lawyer can adequately handle your case. You could ask to see if they have a portfolio to help you determine whether they are good enough for you to hire.

Most people don't ever anticipate a need for a lawyer so it is hard for them to know what to ask and do before obtaining their services. Unless you are a Business Corporation or proprietor you wouldn't really already have your own lawyer. So if you find your self in need of a lawyers service you should ask them the right questions. Also remember this is something they may affect you financially or criminally. You don't want a lawyer who takes on multiple cases at once for really low rates. You should feel that they are focused on your needs and are determined to win you case. You also want them available to answer your questions when you are feeling uncertain about your suit.

Remember this can be a win or lose situation and if you don't chose wisely you may regret it.

Link building has never been on the website owner's list of favorite things to do. It is time-consuming, but then again, a website never gets to the top of search engine results without any links to it

What does a website owner do if he is not fond of doing it himself? Hire a link building company to do the link building. Outsourcing your link building may cost a lot of dollars, but there are reasons that tip the balance in favor of outsourcing.

Link Building Takes Time

If you don't have the time for link building, chances are, you'll never have other websites linking to you, unless if other website owners find you first.

It Takes Strategy

Don't think that it only takes an email to get other website owners to link to you. The reason why link building takes time is because most website owners or web masters do not respond on the first try, or even on the second.

Keep in mind, there are so many other websites trying to get as many links as they can. This floods the webmaster's inbox. It definitely takes a strategy and a bit of creative thinking to get webmasters to notice you and make it impossible for them to refuse your request for a link.

Link-building companies make your life easier because they've been at it long enough how to get the intended results right away.

It Can Be Frustrating

When you try link building, you are trying to sell your site to other website owners, which is not an easy thing to do if you are a new website.

Expect website owners to reject your sales pitch on the first attempt (sales is a field of rejection). This makes it very worth it to outsource link building; link building companies are used to the cycle of contacting webmasters or website owners, making a follow-up, and facing rejection.

Important In Search Engines

The triumvirates of Google, Yahoo! and MSN have factored in link popularity and link quality in their search engine algorithms. Thus, your website will not rank if you don't have any links to your site.

Link popularity is measured according to the number of inbound links to your website. Link quality, on the other hand, evaluates the quality of the links. Link building companies can get you those quality links since, in all likelihood, they already have a database of the websites related to your own.

In choosing a website, check out their link building strategies, whether they really take the time to find the best sites that are related to your website or just generally harvest and link. There's a very good reason for this.

Google once penalized websites that scooped 200 to 300 sites in one month. Some websites even disappeared from Google's index altogether due to a dampening filter. The overdone link building efforts were though to be the link-building version of spamming. Other content rich websites take one year to build 100 relevant links.

Even before the financial overturn happened in Wall Street this year, there had already been several losses that American companies have been reporting about. These losses are no joke and pose greater risks because of the figures that are not just on the level of thousands but of billions and a timeframe of a year.

If today’s financial problem has been rooted to a more complicated issues on economic policies and other international investment disparagements, the older problem is rooted on the premise of internal embezzlement of none other than the companies’ employees. Yes. Sad to accept but American businesses have been ailing for quite some 40 billion dollars of losses caused by company theft and other embezzlements. Though this problem might seem to be a parody of the employers or a complete exaggeration to front the government of tax evasion, this has never erased the fact that the problem in employment theft is a reality and is really destructive.

In a survey posted at Inquest’s website, 30% of failures in the businesses in the land is said to be the end product of large and small scale company theft and dishonesty. Almost all types of businesses in America experience the same fate. Most of the time, companies with most losses are those which has something to do with merchandising and direct selling. Critically, the country is loosing honest employees or is just being tolerated by ignorance of the employers.

Almost all establishments in the US these days are already equipped with high end surveillance systems. Almost every corner of the office, store, or even outside premise of a company is installed with cameras that monitors every move of employees and clients alike. These systems are said to have been installed in order to avoid any theft that can happen both internally and externally. However, surveillance systems are not the only way to solve this classic problem. Same website suggested that if all companies take it by heart to conduct background checks on all their employees and applicants, the number of incidents can be lowered.

However, how can an employee rob a company? What are the kinds or thefts that an employee can do to a particularly company? Basically, there are so many ways in which an employee can take advantage of the company illegally.

1. Falsifying Receipts – Most of the time, receipts are not computer generated. These are often hand printed. Dishonest clerks can forge receipts and charge a client of a higher price and have the difference kept in the employee’s pocket.

2. Stealing Merchandise – this is the most common theft that can happen in a store. Often, stolen products are those small and easy to keep ones. There are so many ways on how an employee may steal merchandise out of the store.

3. Cash Theft – this happens mostly to cashiers or those employees that receives payments. Especially to those that has no specific recording system, services or products can be sold without undergoing on a process.

4. Bookkeeping Fraud – receipts are very important in auditing. So there are times that in order for employees to get something from the company illegally, they would hide in receipts and declare a forged amount on the record.

5. Fake Purchases – employees may intentionally buy things and had it reflected on the record but the purchase did not actually happened. Or they can create imaginary suppliers which are actually just them.

Background check reports basically lay off a limit to these types of employees before they can be accepted to the company. The past records of a particular employee will tell you whether he/she is worthy of trust or not. Pre-employment checks are an effective way to save a company’s future. This is a solution that literally said as saving billions with 30 bucks.

Selling On eBay

SELLING ON EBAY
So you want to be a successful seller with your own eBay business, do you? Here's a simple, ELEVAN-step path to eBay enlightenment.

Step 1: Identify your market. Take a while to sit and watch for what sells and what doesn't out of the items you're interested in. Any market research data you can collect will be very useful to you later on. You'll probably see the 'sweet spots' quite quickly - those one or two items that always seem to sell for a good price.

Step 2: Watch the competition. Before you invest any money, see what the other sellers in your category are up to, and what their strategies are. Pay special attention to any flaws their auctions might have, because this is where you can move in and beat them at their own game.

Step 3: Find a product: Get hold of a supplier for whatever it is you want to sell, and see what the best rates you can get are - don't be afraid to ring round quite a few to get the best deal. If the eBay prices you've seen are higher than the supplier's, then you're set.

Step 4: Start small: Don't throw thousands at your idea straight away - get started slowly, see what works and what doesn't, and learn as you go. Remember that it's very cheap to try out even the craziest ideas on eBay, and who knows, they might just work!

Step 5: Test and repeat. Keep trying different strategies until you find something that works, and then don't be ashamed to keep doing it, again and again. The chances are that you've just found a good niche.

Step 6: Work out a business plan: A business plan doesn't need to be anything formal, just a few pages that outline the market opportunity you've spotted, your strategy, strengths and weaknesses of the plan and a brief budget. This is more for you than it is for anyone else.

Step 7: Invest and expand: This is the time to throw money at the problem. Buy inventory, and start spending more time on your business. Set a goal number of sales each week, increasing it each time.

Step 8: Make it official: Once you've made a few thousand dollars worth of sales, you should really register yourself as a business. Don't worry, it's not expensive or hard to do - a lawyer is the best person to help you through the process.

Step 9: Automate: You'll probably find that you're writing the same things again and again in emails or item descriptions. This is the time to give up on the manual method and turn to automated software that can create listings for you, and respond to completed auctions and payments with whatever message you provide.

Step 10: Never give up: Even when it looks like it's all going wrong, don't stop trying until you succeed. If you keep working at it then you'll almost always find that you make a real breakthrough just when things are starting to look desperate.

STEP 11: DONT FORGET TO PRAY

Once you get into the swing of things, you might start thinking that you should quit your job and take up eBay selling part time. But it's not always as easy as that - there are all sorts of factors that you need to consider.

Discrimination LAWYER

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 2:42 AM | | 0 comments »

Discrimination is something that although we didn't hear much about years ago is very prevalent today, resulting in many cases of discrimination. This is in thanks to the many discrimination laws in Australia, United States and many other countries. Although there are many different types of discrimination, there are also many laws designed to protect people that have been discriminated against for one reason or another. Discrimination lawyers have the goal to help enforce the many discrimination laws and protect the individuals that have been victims of discrimination.

Although there are many different discrimination laws enacted to protect the public and individuals in general against discrimination, there are an equal number of people being discriminated against, resulting in the need of a good discrimination lawyer. Discrimination can seriously affect an individual and have an impact on their ability to gain employment, get a home, own a business, receive certain medical services, government services, voting rights and even a good education. Today anything that is considered as an intentional unfair or unlawful treatment against an individual because of their sex, age, handicap or disability, national origin or ethnicity or any other attributes is deemed to be discrimination.

If you suspect you have been a victim of any kind of discrimination, you are in need of a qualified discrimination lawyer. A discrimination lawyer can not only prove that there has been a clear-cut case of discrimination against you but can also have it determined in court, resulting in some sort of restitution. Discrimination lawyers will help to keep the discrimination laws enforced as well as protect the individuals that have been wronged by discrimination.

Many times, discrimination appears to be evident to the individual and all those involved with the individual, but may be very hard to prove. However, a good discrimination lawyer will be able to help you prove and win your case. Today there are many new cases of discrimination involving pregnancy discrimination, gender discrimination, religious discrimination, age discrimination, racial discrimination and even reverse discrimination.

If you feel you've been a victim of discrimination, you'll need to find a good discrimination lawyer to help you with your case. Because discrimination is often easy to recognize but difficult to prove, look carefully before deciding on a discrimination lawyer. Make a list of different questions you'll want to ask a discrimination lawyer before hiring him or her. As in any case, you need to feel comfortable with and confident in your discrimination lawyer. Some of the questions you may want to ask include:

1. How much experience do they have in dealing with this court system? Believe it or not, every court system has certain ways of doing things and often handle cases a certain way. Being familiar with the legal and court system in a certain jurisdiction can be very helpful to your case.
2. How experienced is this lawyer in cases of discrimination? This lawyer may be a great spokesperson and advocate against discrimination but that's a long way from having defended and won discrimination cases. Make sure discrimination is their specialty.
3. Have they ever handled your specific type of discrimination? A case of discrimination involving race is quite common today but doesn't necessarily qualify the discrimination lawyer in a case of pregnancy discrimination. Find out if they've ever been involved in a discrimination case similar to yours.
4. How well known are they in the area? If you're resident, you may be familiar with this discrimination lawyer but if you're not a local, learn all you can about this lawyer and his or her qualifications.
5. What about cost? Find out exactly how much this case is going to cost you, including all fees. Make sure your discrimination lawyer is not afraid to explain every detail to you.
6. Is the discrimination lawyer familiar with all discrimination laws that may apply to you? There are many types of discrimination and, with the laws always changing, it's important that your discrimination lawyer be up to date on all the laws that may pertain to you and your case.
7. What expectations does your discrimination lawyer have for this case? Make sure the lawyer can tell you exactly what he is hoping to get for you and what your chances of being successful are.

The Australian discrimination law has been influenced greatly by the discrimination laws in the United States as well as legislation regarding discrimination in other countries in the world. Australia defines discrimination in their International Labor Organization Agreement in 1973, as "any exclusion, distinction or preference made because of race, color, sex, political preference, social origin or national extraction which results in the act of nullifying or impairing equality of opportunity or treatment in occupations or employment. Discrimination lawyers are not just used for individuals but have also represented many businesses and organizations where cases of discrimination were apparent or implied.

Australia's first anti-discrimination law was the Prohibition of Discrimination Act of 1966 in South Australia, a legislation that was repealed and then replaced. The first legislation discrimination law in the federal government that met with success was the Racial Discrimination Act in 1975. In 1977, the Anti-Discrimination Act was started as a way to prohibit and prevent discrimination in employment on the grounds of race, sex or marital status. This law also involved the provisions of services, goods and accommodation based on the same grounds of sex, race or marital status and on race when dealing with education.

Since the early 1970s, there has been much legal activity in Australia both statewide and federally regarding discrimination and many different types. The Commonwealth as well as the territories and states in Australia have either introduced or tried to introduce some new form of discrimination legislature. They also review regularly the current aspects of discrimination to determine if there are any ways to improve on the discrimination laws of Australia. Australia currently has the following discrimination laws in force:

• Federal Racial Discrimination Act of 1975
• Federal Sex Discrimination Act of 1984
• Federal Affirmative Action Act of 1986 (Equal Opportunity for Women)
• Federal Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission Act of 1986
• Federal Disability Discrimination Act of 1992
• Anti-Discrimination Act of 1977 (New South Wales)
• Equal Opportunity Act of 1984 (Victoria)
• Anti-Discrimination Act of 1991 (Queensland)
• Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (South & Western Australia)
• Discrimination Act of 1991 (Australian Capital Territory)

Search for Lawyer.

Posted by RAMA MELOW | 2:38 AM | | 0 comments »

When the need for a lawyer arises, it is important to be able to find a good lawyer who is knowledgeable in the area that is required and has a good reputation. Many people would prefer to find a local lawyer whether it is a Maryland lawyer, a New York lawyer or a Kentucky lawyer. A lawyer search can be an overwhelming and often frightening task for anyone who has never needed a lawyer before. Personal, business and criminal problems can arise for almost anyone at any time. From finding a Maryland lawyer to finding a Californian lawyer, there are some different ways a person can find a lawyer that will best suit their needs.

When looking for a lawyer in any state, it is necessary to determine what kind of lawyer will be needed. There are a number of different types of law that lawyers specialize in including family law, real estate law, estate law, family law, criminal law and many other types of law. Sometimes it might be difficult to begin a lawyer search when the issue doesn’t clearly fall into a particular category. It is a good idea to make a few calls to see what type of attorney would handle that specific case before continuing with a lawyer search.

Once the type of lawyer that is needed is clear, it is time to make a list of the lawyers that are in the area who deal with a particular matter from a local phone book. Once the list is compiled, ask friends, family and professionals if they have had any experience with a particular lawyer and if it was a favorable one. If that particular attorney is on the lawyer search list, he or she might be one of the first ones that are contacted. Next, if the local search is not going very well, there are a number of search web sites on the Internet that a person can use to find an attorney that will suit his or her needs. Sometimes individual states have their own lawyer search web sites. Maryland, for instance, has a web site available for anyone who needs the services of a Maryland lawyer.

The Maryland lawyer search is much like the kind of searches available for other states. A Maryland lawyer can be found when searching by city name, county name, zip code, a particular lawyer’s name, by law school and by legal specialty. If all else fails, a person can find a Maryland lawyer or a lawyer in another state by contacting the Bar Association.

Once a lawyer search has narrowed down choices to just a few names, it is a good idea to schedule either a phone or personal interview with the attorney. Important questions that can be posed during an interview should include how much experience a lawyer has in the particular area that is needed, how long they have been in practice, what are the fees and what do they include and how successful they feel that they could tackle any particular issue. Once these questions have been answered, it is up to each individual to assess their choices and hire the attorney they feel that will represent them the best.
